GARY HILAND TRIO

Gary Hiland Trio on kitaristi-laulaja Kari Kunnaksen vetämä kotimainen rockabilly trio. Bändi on toiminut neljän vuoden ajan keikkaillen tasaisesti Uudellamaalla ja Etelä-Suomessa. Yhtye on julkaissut vuonna 2020 yhden CD-EP:n "Don't give Your Heart to Me" ja valmistelee parhaillaan uusia julkaisuja. 

Kunnas on myös tunnettu useammankin kotimaisen rockabillybändin kitaristina ja biisintekijänä (Maibell & the Misfires, Daryl Haywood Combo, Hi-fly Rangers, ym.) ja hänen omia kappaleitaan kuullaan myös Gary Hiland Trion setissä. Bändin muutkin jäsenet ovat pitkän linjan roots-soittajia: Tommy "Dalle" Dahlström rummuissa ja Janne Anttonen kontrabassossa. Bändin saundi ja soittotatsi mukailee 70-80-luvun modernisoitua rockabillyä esikuvinaan brittiläinen neobilly ja amerikkalaiset Rollin' Rock -levymerkin artistit.

Gary Hiland Trio is a Finnish rockabilly trio led by the guitarist-singer Kari Kunnas. The band has been active for four years, regularly playing in Uusimaa and Southern Finland area. The band has released a CD-EP "Don't give Your Heart to Me" in 2020 and is currently preparing new releases.

Kunnas is also known as the guitarist and songwriter of several domestic rockabilly bands (Maibell & the Misfires, Daryl Haywood Combo, Hi-fly Rangers, etc.) and his own songs are also heard in the Gary Hiland Trio's set. The other members of the band are also long-time roots players: Tommy "Dalle" Dahlström on drums and Janne Anttone on double bass. The band's sound and playing style adapts to the modernized rockabilly of the 70s and 80s, with British neobilly and American Rollin' Rock label artists.
